Infinity performed complete demolition of the existing football stadium, grandstands, concessions, press box facility, locker rooms, restrooms and scoreboard. The new 16,900-sf field house includes locker rooms, concessions and restrooms, alumni pavilion and observation decks, and 3,000-sf conference space. Its facade is red brick with insulated metal panels and glass curtain wall system on the side that faces the field. The new Division II NCAA stadium is a synthetic turf football field with underground drainage, 4,000 grandstand seats and a press box facility a 4.8 acre site.

The Infinity Difference

Because of an extremely cold winter and a wet spring, Infinity had to re-sequence the schedule and incorporate extensive acceleration measures. Despite these challenges, construction began November 2013, and completed August 2014 in time for the new football season.

Although this project did not seek formal LEED® certification is was the College’s first sustainability construction effort using LED lighting throughout, daylight harvesting. We re-used concrete demolished on site for engineered fill for the new structure. We reclaimed existing goal posts and lockers which were given to Oberlin High School.
