Infinity served as CMAR on a series of back to back projects. The first was an addition that project expands the School’s existing weight room by infilling an exterior courtyard, approximately 5,400-sf, created by the surrounding occupied athletics buildings. Large skylights are a major feature of the new roof. Roof parapet wall and overlay match the existing building.
The other phases of work totaling 26,515-sf included infilling a swimming pool to make an office and multi-purpose facility. Multiple new classrooms, new Tappan Lobby, 5th grade activity room, and new nursing room. All work took place in occupied space.
Due to COVID-related disruption to the supply of steel, particularly bar joists, the Owner’s schedule for the new addition was impossible to achieve conventionally. Infinity’s solution was to custom build bar joists. Using a local steel fabricator instead of ordering from mills saved eight months of lead time. We completed all projects on time and within the GMP. Diverse subcontractors put in place 32%of total project volume.
