New Retail Ice Cream Store

Project details

Infinity served as General Contractor for this new store 3400 Tuttle Road, which sits at the center of the new Van Aken District shopping center.   This free standing store is a 1-story steel-frame structure with wood framed angled exterior wall and roof constructed of IPE veneer wood siding, new MEP, ACT ceilings, tile flooring, casework and the chain’s trademark suspended train track.

The project was constructed in a very congested area with multiple buildings under construction by different contractors.  It required very close daily coordination.  It also required true just-in-time delivery of construction materials because the site offered very limited lay down areas.  Infinity also coordinated with several specialty contractors under separate contract with the Owner for tile, lighting fixtures, custom casework and freezers.  The project achieved 22.8% diverse subcontracting participation.  The project received a 2019 AIA Design Award.
