New Vehicle Storage Building

Project details

Infinity served as General Contractor for project constructed in Twinsburg, Ohio.    The first building is a 12,745-sf, 20-foot tall pre-engineered metal building with a masonry base, concrete floor and six overhead doors to store vehicles.  The second building is a 2,620-sf onventionally framed commercial support structure housing crew areas attached to the side of the garage building including crew room, restrooms, mud/wash room, and showers.  Site work includes a modular concrete retaining wall and guardrail system walong the north side of the site where a grade change occurs.  Also, new heavy duty asphalt and concrete paving, perimeter fencing with electric gates, security systems, electric gates, site lighting and all underground utilities.

Excavation immediately revealed that unsuitable soils had to be removed and then stablized to allow construction to begin.  One large operation involved boring a 24″ sewer line through sandstone under the street at a depth of 14-feet.   We also realized early that the water line and meter required upsizing.  Site issues and city permit approval delays extended the schedule by about one month.  The interiors received a high degree of finish including the painting of the roof deck, steel supports, and utility piping.  Diverse firms completed 33% of the construciton work-in-place.  This is our third consecutive project for this repeat client.
