Infinity served as CMAR, converting a former furniture store into a new village hall. The project began with 100% gut demolition. The new space houses all Village offices, including the building department, Mayor’s office, Village Council chamber, community meeting rooms, and police department. There is also a prep kitchen, new restrooms, indoor surveillance for secure suspect transport, and jail cells. Three floor-to-roof skylights serve as light wells for the interior spaces. The first floor is 16,515-sf, and the 2nd floor mezzanine is 3,000-sf. The exterior includes a new curtain wall system made of stone imported from Denmark. All new building systems include a new roof, sprinklers, HVAC, and elevator, as well as griding and restripping of the parking lot.

The project finished in 10 months with no change orders. Diverse firms put 38% of the work-in-place. We removed abandoned underground utility lines and relocated others. The building, lower than the ground elevation, required the installation of catch basins around the perimeter. Our constructability idea shifted the mezzanine from the north to the south side of the building, gaining one foot in height. The emergency power generator, which had a 13-month lead time, was installed after base building completion. Redesigning the front building required temporary shoring until the new structure was ready. Infinity self-performed rough and finish carpentry, metal studs, drywall, and stone.
